Once upon a truck in Romania

The land that definitely surprised us. Full of friendly people, history, horses and wagons, countless herds of sheep, Roma, castles, Dracula and bears. Endless nature and forests, mountains, canyons and rivers.

But winter is chasing us. So our time here was also full of rain, mud, cold days and clouds. We would have loved to explore the country further, to go into the mountains, do a lot of wild camping and meet beautiful people. Instead we kind of drove on, doing some nice things along the way and making the best of rainy days. We even adopted a bear, who we luckily weren’t allowed to bring with us in the camper since it is illegal now to keep bears in a circus.

We got a great and very diverse taste of Romania and we will certainly be back. For now we will just keep on reading in the book ‘Along the enchanted way’ of William Blacker to make us even more enthusiastic about returning here someday. Multumesc Romania!
