For the second time in three days! Consistency is key, right? At this point we’re not sure if we’re overlanders or just professional sand testers 😅 the timing was also not the best. It was getting dark and we already had a very long and tiring day behind us. But then again we didn’t exactly plan for this to happen!
What started as a ‘tiny sand situation’ turned into a full desert gathering. But, we quickly learned there is a voluntary rescue team in Dubai and after contacting them a whole squad appeared in record time — ready, motivated, and slightly too happy about the challenge, we think 😆 they do this for a hobby and loved the challenge of pulling out a giant truck, which they can not do every day!
They definitely knew what they were doing. They got everything in place, coached us through and before we knew it they got us out! Then we almost got stuck a second time again a few hundred meters later 😅 but their coaching was amazing again!
If something like this happens, the only good option is to just role with it and get into practical mode. And honestly, in the end we got to meet some amazing people, had a lot of fun and learned a lot! We will always remember this story and we are so thankful for all the help we got!
