A while a go we shared something about safety – and how different it looks in reality on the road. It made us realise that the big and vague ‘that is unsafe’ doesn’t exist, but that we do not actually talk about the safety issues that we do encounter on a daily basis.
A lot of our daily decisions are small risk assessment without even fully realizing it anymore. But with writing it down we where a bit impressed ourselves of how many risk assessments we actually do!
This is what our daily life on the road looks like regarding to safety. Off course, traveling with children and cats add a whole extra layer to everything compared to traveling by ourselves. And of course, the truck is not just a vehicle but our home. That makes it very valuable to us and extra important to keep him rolling in one piece.
So it looks like a lot, but a lot of all the safety assessments happen almost subconscious by now. We do not even realize anymore how much information we are constantly scanning around us.
So we are definitely not anxious all day. Just making sure we are enjoying our time on the road safely!
